Newly remodeled Erwin Walmart Supercenter re-opens following innovative store transformation

Walmart customers in Erwin were welcomed inside the newly transformed Supercenter at 590 East Jackson Boulevard, Erwin, NC last week as the much-anticipated project is now complete.

The store’s associates marked the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and community celebration. The event was attended by Glenn White, Mayor of Erwin, and representatives from the Dunn Police Athletic & Activities League, the Warrior Legal Services Organization and the Step by Step Women’s Organization.

During this last week’s celebration, Walmart store manager April Thomas highlighted the Supercenter’s transformed departments as well as the new interactive features now available to customers, including:

“This remodel is not only an investment in the store but also in our customers and city,” said Thomas in a press release. “I’m proud of our associates for their hard work and for getting us to the finish line; we look forward to exceeding our customers’ expectations as we continue to serve the Erwin community.” 

To reinforce Walmart’s dedication to the communities it serves, the store manager presented $4,400 in grant money to local nonprofit organizations, including:
