The Pembroke Area Chamber of Commerce recently announced that Wendy Moore will serve as the organization’s new office manager.
Moore, a recent retiree, expressed her excitement to assist the Chamber in achieving its vision of the empowerment, and economic vitality of its businesses.
“I believe that my years of public service leadership and community engagement will complement your vision to grow the town of Pembroke, while providing her residents and businesses with opportunities that grow the community. I look forward to discussing the possibilities,” shared Moore in a press release.
Marla Locklear has served in this role on a part-time basis since retiring from UNC Pembroke in 2019. She announced in January the intent to reduce her role with the Chamber to spend time with her growing family. Locklear has agreed to remain part of the PACC team to assist during this transition and as needed in the future.
With this team, the Pembroke Area Chamber of Commerce embraces this opportunity to grow its day-to-day capacity and become a more valued resource to its members and community.
