By Staff Report, posted Oct 9, 2024 on BizFayetteville.com

After 34 years with BB&T/Truist Bank and serving as market president and senior vice president for Truist Bank for Cumberland, Sampson and Robeson Counties, Pat Nobles has accepted a new role with Huntington National Bank as senior regional banking relationship manager.

Nobles shared the news that he would be retiring from his position at Truist Bank in September via a LinkedIn post stating:

“After 34 years with BB&T/Truist, today is my last day. I consider myself extremely blessed and grateful for the experiences throughout the years. From the early days as a branch manager in Newton Grove to my current role as Market President, I’ve been so fortunate to learn from, work alongside and lead a tremendous group of people I call “family”. One of my favorite quotes is from Rockefeller: “a friendship founded on business is a good deal better than a business founded on friendship.” Again I’ve been so lucky to form many such relationships with my clients through the years based on this principle. So to you all, teammates and clients alike, I merely say thank you and God bless. In the upcoming days I’ll be announcing the next chapter in my career. Until then-take good care.”

He has already begun his new position with incoming Huntington National Bank which has plans to open 55 new branches in North and South Carolina over the next five years.

“It's hard to overstate the impact of dedicating an entire career to serving a single market. For nearly 35 years, Patrick Nobles has been a trusted advisor in southeastern North Carolina, bringing immense value to his clients and community through servant leadership. We could not be more excited to welcome him to Huntington National Bank in the Carolinas,” shared Senior Managing Director of the Triangle & Eastern North Carolina for Huntington National Bank Jess Powell in a LinkedIn post.
