Evelyn Morales, certified Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) instructor and owner of ISR Fayetteville, is thrilled to announce the grand opening of her business scheduled for Oct. 26. The event will mark the official launch of ISR Fayetteville, which offers life-saving swimming lessons for infants and young children.

Evelyn “Eve,” originally from Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico, has been a proud resident of North Carolina for the past seven years with her daughter, Ariana. Her journey to opening ISR Fayetteville was not without challenges, as she relocated to North Carolina after Hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico in 2017. Despite the obstacles, Eve was determined to bring her passion for aquatic survival to Fayetteville, where there was a pressing need for Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) instruction.

“I was inspired to start this business after recognizing the shortage of ISR instructors in the area,” said Eve in a press release. “Drowning is the leading cause of death for children aged 1 to 4, and our mission is to prevent such tragedies. Through personalized, one-on-one lessons, ISR teaches children life-saving skills that can help them survive if they find themselves alone in the water.”

Eve’s dream to open ISR Fayetteville was made possible with support from the Women’s Business Center (WBC) and the Center for Economic Empowerment and Development (CEED). Through their business plan seminars, she gained critical insights into financial management, marketing and building a sustainable business.

“The training and community provided by WBC and CEED were invaluable. "Without their help, this wouldn’t have been possible,” Eve stated in a press release.

The business’s grand opening event will include demonstrations, information about ISR’s mission and opportunities to meet with Eve to learn more about the survival swimming lessons offered at ISR Fayetteville. Families are encouraged to attend and enjoy refreshments, a kids’ costume contest, face painting, a bounce house for little kids and more activities.

ISR Fayetteville is located at 604 Hobson St, Fayetteville, NC. For more information, visit ISR Fayetteville or contact Evelyn Morales at
