Cumberland County Schools empowers families with educational choice; local school district to host Choice Fair 2024

Cumberland County Schools (CCS) is continuing its commitment to providing tailored educational opportunities for every child. Recognizing the diverse interests and learning styles of students, CCS is hosting its annual Choice Fair so that families can make the best decisions concerning their children's education. 

CCS' Choice Fair 2024 will take place on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024, at E.E. Smith High School located at 1800 Seabrook Road in Fayetteville from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Principals and academy directors will be on-site to provide information and answer questions about CCS' Choice Programs for elementary, middle and high school students. 

During the event, parents and guardians will receive key information geared toward helping them make informed educational decisions for their children. These programs, available at select schools throughout the district, are designed around specialized themes to include science, arts and culture, technology and hands-on career experiences.

The application period for CCS' Choice Programs for the 2025-2026 school year will run from Monday, Nov. 18, 2024, through Friday, Jan. 3, 2025. Families are encouraged to explore the specific programs and access the CCS Choice Program Guide by visiting the CCS Choice website.
