Railyard FVL adds new team members

Railyard FVL, an open-air food hall concept currently under development but coming soon to 415 West Russell Street in downtown Fayetteville has welcomed two new team members.

Dennis “Vee” Villanueva has joined as the director of entertainment. Villanueva is originally form New York, but has been in Fayetteville since 2008. Since arriving in town, Villanueva has been involved in the community in many ways including as a member of the Knights of Columbus where he delivered food to families during the winter season. He is also a regular volunteer at the ALMS house working to help feed the less fortunate. A military Veteran, he and his team were recognized by the Embassy of Belize and the Government of Belize for their rapid response during emergency operations in response to Hurricane Richard. After his retirement from the Army, Dennis worked as a Spanish and CTE teacher at New Century Middle School where he earned the “Beginning Teacher of The Year” award.
Dennis continues to serve the community through his active participation in programs sponsored by the VFW and American Legion.
Management shared their excitement at working with Villanueva on social media stating:
“What can't this guy do? A retired Soldier, a local stand-up comic, a community servant, a former educator. He can scuba dive and loves beer....but can he do both at the same time, under water?! Probably! So excited to have Dennis as our Director of Entertainment and looking forward to seeing what he brings to The Stage at Railyard!”
Dominique Womack joins the team as director of events. The first Black woman of the Carolina’s Rock Station Rock 103, Womack has been a fixture in radio since her early days as Hannah Wildman from 2006-2009 and in Fayetteville all her life. Her journey of becoming a standout member of the Fayetteville broadcasting community began at Douglas Byrd High School and blossomed at East Carolina University, where she majored in Communication with a focus on radio and TV production before graduating in 2005.
Outside of radio, Womack is a proud Fayetteville native, graduating with honors from Fayetteville State University in May 2023 with a degree in Psychology and founding the Art Gallery of Hope. You can also see her emceeing for some of the city’s biggest events like the New Year’s Eve Spectacular presented by the Cool Spring Downtown District and keeping the crowd hype at Fayetteville Woodpecker games.
Womack is active in the community and celebrates locals of all kinds by advocating, promoting and showing up for the community that raised her.
