The ASOM hosts Veterans Day event with founders of BHAWK Whiskey Distillery

In honor of Veterans Week, the U.S. Army Airborne and Special Operations Museum (ASOM) will host an event with Army Veterans Brad and Jess Halling, founders of BHAWK Whiskey Distillery on Nov. 14 at 6:00 p.m. at 100 Bragg Blvd. in Fayetteville.

Born and raised in the Midwest, the Hallings have long called the Fort Liberty, NC area their home. Both are active participants in Veterans’ charities and are long-time whiskey and wine enthusiasts. In 2020, they embarked on their journey to create BHAWK Whiskey Distillery, transforming 175 Yadkin Road in Southern Pines into a premier destination for whiskey lovers, residents, tourists, and the surrounding military community. Their vision focuses on crafting premium whiskey brands and offering an immersive distillery experience.

This special evening at the ASOM will include whiskey tastings of Sergeant’s Valor Bourbon, Sergeant’s Valor Rye, Madame Colonel Pistachio Cream, craft cocktails, appetizers and a presentation by Brad and Jess Halling, who will share their experiences in both military service and entrepreneurship.

Event rates:

Non-Member Rate: $75 per person / $125 couple

Museum Friend Member Rate: $65 per person / $100 couple

Active-Duty Rate: $50, with ID required at the door

The Hallings are also working to spread their brand across the state by offering their customers the NC ABC codes for their products. Customers can provide these codes to restaurants, bars and other locations which will allow venues to begin ordering and importing the BHAWK brand.
