Cape Fear Valley Health to part ways with current nutrition services provider

According to a WARN notice, Aramark Healthcare Support Services, LLC is preparing to cease operations at Cape Fear Valley Health System’s 1638 Owens Dr. location in Fayetteville.

“Aramark Healthcare Support Services, LLC (“Aramark”) recently learned that it would not be retained to provide nutrition services at Cape Fear Valley Health System’s 1638 Owens Dr. location in Fayetteville…We regret to inform you that all food and nutrition Aramark employees assigned to that client account and location will be affected,” stated the notice.

This will affect 233 jobs in total: 31 salaried jobs and 202 hourly positions. 

“Aramark expects to permanently terminate the employment of its food and nutrition employees at Cape Fear Valley Health System on Dec. 31, 2024. It is our understanding that most displaced workers typically have continued employment opportunities with the incoming provider,” shared the official report.

All affected employees have been notified of their separation from employment and their separation date.
