Town of Coats to update Comprehensive Land Use Plan; open house planned for Dec. 5

The Town of Coats is updating its Comprehensive Land Use Plan, a roadmap for the Town to direct future growth, development, and investments over the next 10-20 years. 

The plan will outline existing conditions, describe future goals and objectives for development, and include recommendations on how to achieve the Town's desired land use patterns. Additionally, the study will address the types of transportation facilities needed to support current and future development.

In addition to the survey there will be a public engagement opportunity on Dec. 5 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Town Hall.  The public will be asked to help identify land-use related issues and opportunities as Coats seeks to develop a plan for the future.  The event will be an open house style event and the public will be asked to share opinions on key areas such as transportation, parks and open space, and future land-use patterns.  Everyone with an interest in the future of Coats is encouraged to attend and share their thoughts.
