Pipeline Utilities, Inc., a contractor, is set to start construction for drainage improvements in the Rosewood Terrace Subdivision. This construction project will improve stormwater management and includes upgrades to water and sewer services by the Fayetteville Public Works Commission (PWC).

The contractor prepared the area last week. The project will take approximately 14 months on Sunbury Drive, Needham Drive and portions of Rosehill and Pleasant Loop Roads.

The Sunbury Drive Drainage Improvements Project involves the installation of a new storm drainage system starting at the intersection of Kaywood Drive and Sunbury Drive. The drainage system will extend along Sunbury Drive and Needham Drive.

Road closures include a section of Needham Drive from Rosehill Road to Sunbury Drive and a section of Sunbury Drive from Brandon Court to approximately Kaywood Drive. Temporary road closures will occur at various times on Rosehill Road located near Pleasant Loop.

Drivers will need to slow down, be alert and expect brief delays while traveling through this work zone.

A total of $5.4 million of the America Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds has been allocated for the estimated $7 million project.
