FAST adjusts service to Cross Creek Mall starting Nov. 29; passengers will be shuttled to Cross Creek Mall from Campground Road

Residents traveling to Cross Creek Mall on the Fayetteville Area System of Transit (FAST) system will encounter changes in routes and services on weekends beginning Nov. 29 through Dec. 22. 

Due to heavy holiday traffic around the mall, FAST’s holiday shuttle operation will transfer passengers back and forth in smaller FAST vehicles between a designated stop on Campground Road near Lowe's and Cross Creek Mall on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. 

Routes affected are six, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and express route one. 

Passengers are advised to plan accordingly for alternative routes and allow for additional travel time to and from destinations. Passengers can track buses in real-time by downloading the TRANSLOC app. 

FAST is actively seeking new bus drivers to fill the vacancies. These positions require a Class B Commercial Driver License (CDL) with passenger endorsement and no air brake restrictions. FAST is also hiring Transit Operator Trainees. Applicants will be sent to Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC) to get their CDL and endorsements.
