Sampson County road scheduled to close this week for pipe replacement

A portion of Halltown Road in Sampson County will close for more than a week while crews replace a pipe.

The road is scheduled to be closed to traffic between 7 a.m. Dec. 11 and 5 p.m. Dec. 20. The work being done this month needed to be complete ahead of the road being resurfaced soon.

Drivers should plan their commute ahead and use Maxwell Road as a detour. Those traveling are encouraged to use caution near the work zone.
