Alliance Health, Daymark Recovery Services and Good Hope Hospital announce successful transition of behavioral health services in Harnett County

Alliance Health, Daymark Recovery Services Inc., and Good Hope Hospital Inc. are proud to announce the successful transition of operations at Good Hope Hospital’s psychiatric unit to Daymark Recovery Services. This milestone marks a pivotal step in expanding and enhancing behavioral health services for the Harnett County community.
“This transition represents a significant step forward in our shared mission to enhance access to high-quality care for Harnett County residents,” said Rob Robinson, CEO of Alliance Health, in a press release. “We are committed to improving the health and well-being of our communities through trusted partnerships and innovative solutions.”
Daymark Recovery Services now operates the Good Hope Hospital psychiatric unit, providing critical care aligned with national models and trends. Additionally, plans are underway to open Harnett County’s first Behavioral Health Urgent Care (BHUC) – a 24/7/365 walk-in, crisis-focused service – between February and March 2025. The BHUC will offer rapid assessment, medical screening, and care, as well as referrals for follow-up services. These efforts are proven to reduce unnecessary emergency room visits, hospitalizations, and incarcerations. Both the psychiatric unit and the BHUC will operate on the Good Hope Hospital campus to address the county’s behavioral health needs.
By early fall, 2025, Daymark will consolidate outpatient services onto the Good Hope campus, fully integrating them into a model consistent with the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) approach. This integration will enable Daymark to introduce additional services and secure federal funding opportunities for Harnett County.
