Nightly lane closures upcoming for U.S. 15-501 in Moore County

The N.C. Department of Transportation will perform nightly lane closures on a stretch of U.S. 15-501 next week.

From 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily, one lane of both directions of U.S. 15-501 will be closed from U.S. 1 to Brucewood Drive for clearing and grubbing.

These lane closures will take place from Feb. 2 through the evening of Feb. 6, weather permitting.

This work is part of the Sandhills Area Improvement Projects, various transportation improvement projects to support local economic growth, enhance safety, and improve the quality of life for Sandhills residents.

Motorists are reminded to use caution when approaching the work zone and pay attention to the posted signs along the route.
