Fayetteville Technical Community College names Dean of Computer Information Technology

Dwayne Campbell

Dwayne Campbell has been named Dean of Computer Information Technology at Fayetteville Technical Community College.

Campbell has extensive industry and academic experience in the field. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Pfeiffer University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems from UNC-Greensboro. His certifications include Certified Government Chief Information Officer, Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt), ITIL 4 Certification, COBIT 5-Framework Certification and Network+/Security+.

Campbell moved to the Fayetteville area in 2011 to serve as Chief Information Officer for the City of Fayetteville. After retiring, his interest in working at FTCC was driven by his experiences with FTCC student interns. He described the FTCC interns as very well prepared for their work-based learning roles and he was impressed with their knowledge, skills and abilities.

In addition to Campbell’s 20-plus years of experience in industry, he taught IT Systems Analysis & Design at Central Piedmont Community College and Project Management and E-Commerce at University of Phoenix.
