While still relatively new to the area, Culver’s of Hope Mills is already working to connect with the community and give back.
The fresh new fast food option opened in Hope Mills at 3320 S. Peake Drive on Oct. 14, 2024. Since then, the team has begun hosting “Share Nights,” local fundraising campaigns that allows the chain to partner with local groups and programs to fundraise while also supporting a local business.
“Culvers has been doing Share Nights with different groups for almost the 40 years that Culver has been in existence. For Share Nights we reach out to school groups, church groups and other civic groups, and it's a fundraising activity for that group, and it's a sales and a community event for Culver’s,” shared Culver's of Hope Mills Franchisee and Owner Adrian Madsen.
Madsen shared that like all other Culver’s locations across 26 states, the Hope Mills location was also quick to adopt the fundraiser. The Hope Mills Culver’s held their first Share Night on Nov. 25 with the Fayetteville Guard Youth Football team. from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. 10% of every purchase went back to the team. The fundraiser helped them raise hundreds of dollars to travel for a championship game while also helping the new franchise serve and connect with new and returning customers.
“On Share Night, the group comes in, I put aprons on four to six folks and they help us deliver food, engage with guests, tell their story, and then we give them anywhere from five to 10% of our profits for those three hours,” shared Madsen.
The month of February will see a few more options for the community to come out and support local organizations.
“I'm a huge fan of this. I built my Culver’s in Hope Mills because I wanted to be a Hope Mills asset. And whether it's Share Nights where I'm directly connected with people and organizations, or if connecting to people in organizations connects me more to the community, it's just where my heart is at to really drive other changes in Hope Mills,” shared Madsen.
