State of Real Estate Luncheon returns to Crown Complex on Feb. 18

Longleaf Pine REALTORS® (LPR) is getting ready to host real estate industry professionals and community leaders at the 2025 State of the Real Estate Market Luncheon, coming up on Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 11:45 a.m. at the Crown Complex.

The long running event will be returning to deliver essential insights into the current and future local real estate landscape with a panel of industry experts providing data based results on current trends, local market information and more. 

Last year, a total of 300 members of the Fayetteville area real estate industry gathered at the Crown Event Center to learn more about the economic forecast and what short term and long term factors would affect the market.

“We try to put our finger on the pulse of what's going on, locally, regionally, statewide, nationwide, just to look at market dynamics and what could be expected [of] the market. We try to cover a little bit of commercial, a little bit of residential, a little bit of new construction,” shared LPR President David Zeitz. “It’s an open event, so it’s not just geared specifically to realtors, but we've got some fantastic things coming up economically for this corridor coming down North Carolina, and that will be one of the topics of conversation.”

Zeitz, one of the featured speakers who will open the event with reflections on 2024 and opportunities for reasonable growth in the Fayetteville market in 2025, will also act as master of ceremonies for the event. 

Other featured speakers will include Patrick Bowen of Bowen Research, who will present key findings from the Carolina Core Housing Needs Assessment; former LPR President Dave Evans, who will give an overview of local MLS statistics and trends; and Robert Van Geons, President & CEO of Fayetteville Cumberland Economic Development Corporation (FCEDC), who will share updates and insights on local economic development.

“Don't think you have to be a realtor. Don't think you have to be completely all knowing and knowledgeable about what's going on in real estate to derive any benefit from this. We try to gear it toward our community,” shared Zeitz “If they're interested in market dynamics in  Fayetteville, Cumberland, Lee, Harnett Counties, or within our region and state, I think anyone would benefit and enjoy it. It's not overly technical. It's not going to be presented above anyone's heads. It's just going to be common sense approaches and distribution of information and projections that we think the public would benefit from.”
