NCDMV online services & kiosks to be unavailable Saturday, Feb. 15

By Staff Report, posted Feb 14, 2025 on BizFayetteville.com

In an effort to shorten lines and wait times at offices across the state and provide services outside of typical office hours, the N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles began piloting the use of self-service kiosks in grocery stores in 2024.

Due to an N.C. Department of Information Technology planned outage, N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles online services and self-service kiosks will not be available for an extended period of time on Saturday, Feb. 15.

This outage, which will affect multiple state agencies, will begin at midnight and is expected to last until approximately 7 p.m.

In addition to online services and kiosks being unavailable to the public, access to NCDMV systems used by external partners and vendors will also be unavailable.

The Division apologizes for any inconvenience this NCDIT outage may cause and encourages its customers and partners to plan accordingly to minimize disruption.
