Mash House Brewing Company officially closed its doors on April 10, 2025, marking the end of a 24-year run as one of Fayetteville’s most beloved brewpubs. Mash House was the longest continuously running brewery in Cumberland County.
Since opening in 2001, Mash House has been known not only for its award-winning craft beers and signature American-fusion cuisine but also as a gathering place for friends, families, and visitors to the Fayetteville area. With a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a passion for local brewing, it became a fixture in the community and a pioneer of the craft beer movement in the region.
“This has been an incredibly emotional time for all of us,” said Steve Groveunder, Managing Partner of Mash House Brewing Company, in a press release. “We’re proud of what we built and eternally grateful to the staff, patrons, and community members who made Mash House a Fayetteville staple for over two decades.”
