By Staff Report, posted Apr 21, 2025 on BizFayetteville.com

Community members seeking to start, grow or sustain nonprofits in the Fayetteville area are encouraged to register for two upcoming workshops hosted by the city’s Economic and Community Development department (ECD). The department works with potential community partners and local nonprofit agencies to help build community capacity within local organizations to better serve residents.

The upcoming classes being offered will highlight essential topics such as nonprofit formation, management, fundraising, and financial reporting.

The first workshop scheduled for April 23 at 6:30 p.m. focuses on recruiting, onboarding and managing board members, volunteers  and donors. The second workshop will be on May 21 at 6:30 p.m. to teach attendees on how to generate sustainable income through grants, sponsorships, and fundraising campaigns.

“These workshops are designed to equip passionate individuals with the practical knowledge and tools they need to build strong, mission-driven organizations that create lasting impact in our communities,” Director of Economic and Community Development Chris Cauley said in a press release.

Spaces are limited and registration is required. Locations to workshops will be given once registered.
