City of Fayetteville relaunches Fayetteville Outfront; event coming to the Kiwanis Recreation Center on April 29

The City of Fayetteville is pleased to announce the relaunch of Fayetteville Outfront, a monthly series that is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. on April 29 at the Kiwanis Recreation Center. Fayetteville Outfront is designed to foster open dialogue and meaningful engagement between City officials and community members.

“As we revive this monthly engagement effort, we are committed to providing a welcoming forum for residents to learn, share ideas, and help shape the future of our city,” said City Spokesman Loren Bymer in a press release. “We hope residents benefit from these meetings and hope they foster trust through transparent dialogue and encourage public participation while strengthening relationships between residents and city officials.”

The first community meeting will be co-hosted by Assistant City Managers Kelly Strickland and Jeff Yates, this event will focus on “Doing Business with the City” and understanding the resources available to new and potential business owners. The intent is that residents leave the meeting with all the information needed to plan, resource and execute a business plan in the City of Fayetteville, as well as understand the requirements to do business with the City of Fayetteville.

Presentations by the City’s Economic & Community Development (ECD), Purchasing, Development Services and the Fayetteville State University’s Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB) program. A panel discussion featuring experts will follow the presentations.

Two additional community meetings are currently planned, each featuring presentations and panel discussions on different City topics relevant to Fayetteville residents. Upcoming community meetings will be held on May 21 and June 11. Locations will be announced prior to those meetings. Future topics include City stormwater projects, an Office of Community Safety update, and ways to engage with the City.
