Hwy 59 Food Stop is a new food truck location that is currently under construction. Located at 822 Hope Mills Rd in Fayetteville, the space is being designed to offer a little piece of joy to anyone who comes there.

The empty parking lot of Hwy 59 Auto Repair is currently being transformed into a welcoming environment where locals can come enjoy a variety of cuisine from rotating food trucks. In addition to the trucks there will be cornhole, local art on display and curated events offering additional opportunities for local vendors to showcase their products and for local artists to perform.

“I definitely want it to be somewhere everyone can come, even if it’s not just to get your car done, but just to come hang out and eat. If it's not drawing for one thing, I want it to draw for another. I want it to be where you find something that you enjoy here. That’s my goal,” shared Operations Manager Amber McCraw.

The space accommodates four food trucks at a time and McCraw shared that they work to have variety in the trucks that are present to provide locals with options.

The team at Hwy 59 Auto Repair recognizes that people often find themselves at their shop under less than ideal circumstances. McCraw hopes that by curating this space customers can experience some joy even on a difficult day.

“I want Highway 59 to be a place where, even though it may have been a hard day for you because your tire blew out, you can walk right outside and have a piece of joy,” shared McCraw.

The space began hosting food trucks on April 1. They generally have food trucks every single day even during this process of construction and refining the space. McCraw shared that they hope to have the space fully designed by the end of May or early June. Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
