A beloved local brand is starting a new chapter. On Tuesday, May 20, community members, friends and fans of frulato all gathered to celebrate the expansion of local business Feena’s.

Some of Feena's biggest fans include her own family.  Her husband and area realtor Johnny Martinez (left) and her son Nick Martinez (right) were there to support her.

Gathered in the newly renamed Feena’s Plaza located at 724 N. Reilly Road longtime supporters were able to learn about a new business chapter for Owner and Founder Feena Martinez and her second location, Feena’s Frulato: A Taste of Paradise, the brand’s tropical dessert concept.

Feena’s also introduced its newest culinary endeavor, Feena’s & Steamer’s Kitchen. Tuesday’s event allowed for a sneak peek of the future offerings from the restaurants including a tasting experience and a meet-and-greet with the owner and staff.

Feena's is partnering with Executive Chefs Tyrone Burnett (right), owner of a past Fayetteville restaurant NY Steamers, and Head Chef Stevenson Lamarre (left) to bring a steamed restaurant right next door to Taste of Paradise.

Feena’s has long been a staple in Fayetteville’s cultural and culinary landscape at their first location on Murchison Road in Bronco Midtown, now she will be partnering with Executive Chefs Tyrone Burnett, owner of a past Fayetteville restaurant NY Steamers, and Head Chef Stevenson Lamarre to bring a steamed restaurant right next door to Taste of Paradise.

The event marked not only the unveiling of the new space but also a heartfelt continuation of a legacy rooted in community and care. Details about the new restaurant have yet to be released, however, a spokescompany for Feena’s did confirm that the first location on Murchison Road will still be operating.

As of now the new location will be operating seven days a week and a grand opening date is expected to be announced soon.

The tasting menu included poached shrimp and steamed cabbage (pictured), catfish nuggets, hushpuppies, BBQ ribs with peach bourbon BBQ sauce, bacon mac and cheese.
