The Fayetteville Regional Airport has seen a plethora of change over the course of this year, from launching a new Dallas Fort Worth flight to new construction within the airport -- and it looks like the work is paying off.
In Doug Hewett’s latest report, he said 80 percent of seats in on the DFW flights are regularly filled, which puts numbers close to or, in some cases, even exceeding pre-COVID numbers.
“Part of the appeal is the additional 79 one-stop destinations offered out of DFW,” he wrote.
He also said that renovations to the airport terminal are nearly complete. Changes to the airport’s administrative offices are not yet completed, but are expected to be finished in November.
In 2022, the airport will install new escalators and windows in the airport.
In July of this year, an NCDOT study’s results showed that the Fayetteville Regional Airport contributes a $790 million economic impact to the local community.
