Harnett County to host 2nd Annual Career Fair

Harnett County is excited to announce its 2nd Annual Career Fair, scheduled for Wednesday, July 23, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Resource Center & Library, located at 455 McKinney Parkway in Lillington.

This event seeks to highlight the many benefits of working with Harnett County Government and helps to connect talented individuals with meaningful public service opportunities. The goal of the fair is to fill critical vacancies, and to foster long-term careers that make a real difference in the lives of residents.

“Our career Fair is a great opportunity for job seekers to explore careers in public service and for us to showcase what makes working for the County so rewarding,” said Human Resources Director Janice Lane in a press release. “Last year’s event was a success, and this year we want it to be even better.”

The career fair will feature representatives from various departments that will discuss current job listings as well as future employment opportunities.

“Attendees will have the opportunity to not only explore potential careers, but they can also speak directly with current employees to gain insight into day-to-day operations. Current employees are a valuable resource for sharing insightful information about responsibilities, job requirements, and helpful advice,” said Leah Campbell, Human Resources Administrative Assistant.

The recommended attire for the Career Fair is business casual.

Resumes are not required, but representatives from departments will be accepting cover letters. All applications for County positions must be submitted digitally. Computers will be available on-site for submitting applications.
