Representative Richard Hudson was awarded the National Association of Federally-Insured Credit Union’s Congressional Credit Union Champion Award last week.
The award was launched this year to thank members of Congress for supporting credit unions and to encourage actions in legislation that create opportunities for credit unions to succeed.
In particular, recipients of the award are people “who've gone the extra mile in supporting credit unions through the introduction or cosigning of credit union-friendly legislation, leading or signing onto "Dear Colleague" letters in support of credit union initiatives and exhibiting a pro-credit-union voting record,” a press release from NAFCU said.
Recipients for the award are nominated by member unions of NAFCU. Members who would like to learn more about the award can visit https://www.nafcu.org/awards/congressional-credit-union-champion-awards.
