Celebrate Independence Day in Fayetteville

As the home of Fort Bragg, one of the largest military bases in the United States, Fayetteville, N.C. and its surrounding communities are eager to celebrate living in the land of the free because of the brave. As Independence Day fast approaches, celebrate your patriotism and check out one or more of the celebrations scheduled in the area.

Red, White & Boom Fest

Where: Fort Bragg

When: Saturday, June 28 | 3:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Fort Bragg opens its gates to the public for a free, all-ages festival featuring headline performances by Ludacris, Parmalee and Neon Trees, plus the 82nd Airborne Division Rock Band. Witness a spectacular parachute demonstration by the U.S. Army Parachute Team and a powerful flag ceremony featuring service members representing all 50 states and U.S. territories. The night ends with a fireworks display.

Independence Day Kickoff Celebration

Where: Hope Mills Municipal Park 

Date: Saturday, June 28th  | 5:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

This family-friendly festival sets the tone for the week with more than 15 food trucks, face painting, a petting zoo and live music performances. The event closes with a fireworks show at 9:00 p.m.

Fayetteville Woodpeckers Game & Fireworks

Where: Segra Stadium  

Date: Friday July 4th |  7:05 p.m.

Celebrate America’s pastime on America’s birthday as the Fayetteville Woodpeckers take on the Carolina Mudcats. Fans will enjoy a baseball game, themed promotions and post-game fireworks that light up the downtown skyline as part of the team’s Red, White & Blue Weekend.

Independence Concert & Fireworks

Where: Festival Park in downtown Fayetteville 

When: Friday, July 4  | Gates Open at 6pm, Concert Starts 7:30pm

This free event features performances by the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra, the Fayetteville Symphonic Band, and the 82nd Airborne Division Band. Gates open at 6:00 p.m., with the concert commencing at 7:30 p.m., culminating in a fireworks display. Attendees can enjoy food trucks, breweries and a children's play area.
