New bites in town: new restaurants opening this week

The greater Fayetteville area can get ready to try some exciting new additions to the restaurant scene this week. From diners to breweries, there’s something for everyone. 

Buck Diner- 308 Laurinburg Road , Raeford, NC 

Join the Raeford- Hoke Chamber of Commerce on July 9, 2025 for a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for Buck Diner- a vintage-style spot named in honor of the beloved Hoke County Bucks, and proudly run by Bruce Jacobs, who’s bringing back those diner classics you've always loved, plus some tasty new twists!

Buck Diner held a soft opening on July 2, and began serving their regular hours on Monday, July 7. Come sample their menu of burgers, hotdogs and more Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m.- 8:00 p.m.

Briarwood Cattle Farm- 5598 Blue Springs Road, Red Springs. 

Restaurants looking for local suppliers can check out a new option opening on Friday, July 11. The Raeford-Hoke Chamber of Commerce and Briarwood Cattle Farm LLC will be celebrating a ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony to welcome in the new vendor. 

Briarwood Cattle Farm LLC, is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB), Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and North Carolina Historically Underutilized Business (HUB), working in beef cattle operations. They also specialize in the production of premium, vacuum-packed farm-fresh beef, chicken, pork and coffee. 

Actively seek federal contracts to expand their impact, Briarwood Cattle Farm, LLC,

are continuously striving for growth and outreach. 

They are a beef cattle operation producing and selling grass-fed beef, free range chicken and pork. They also offer meat processing solutions for local farmers and retailers.

Little Heathen’s Brewery - 3266 Ray Road, Spring Lake 

Little Heathen's Brewery in Spring Lake is working towards potentially holding a soft opening this weekend. 

According to a Facebook post, the business is looking for staff members to start serving their in-house taps. 

To open, the brewery will offer four beers all brewed on-site, including a blonde ale, a pale ale, an IPA and a Hazy IPA. The menu will also expand over time to include wine, seltzer and cider along with some classic cocktail options. 

As of June 15, 2025, Little Heathen’s Brewery was officially given the green light to begin brewing and have already started the process.
