November marks the beginning of National Entrepreneurship Month in the United States. The commemorative week is no small occasion with even the U.S. Department of State taking part in recognizing the “American Spirit” in entrepreneurship worldwide, their website says.
“During the week, U.S. embassies and consulates will organize numerous events and inspire thousands of individuals from all backgrounds,” the Department of State’s website reads, “to follow in the footsteps of generations of American entrepreneurs.”
Locally, Fayetteville Technical Community College is celebrating the entrepreneurial spirit as well. November 8-14 is Global Entrepreneurship Week, and the college is encouraging faculty and their students to log in and watch entrepreneurs speak about their journeys in the business world.
“Speakers will tell us how they got started, successes, challenges faced, lessons learned, and advice for someone just starting out,” Dean of Business Programs Cindy Burns said. “All events are open to anyone with an interest.”
There will be a question and answer times after the presentation for those virtually attending.
Anyone who is interested in participating can register for free by contacting Cindy Burns, Kent Hill, Lori Register or Athena Moore.
