Harnett County is excited to invite residents to the 4th annual Community Day, taking place on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2025, from 4 -7 p.m. at the Government Complex, located at 455 McKinney Parkway in Lillington, NC.
Community Day provides residents with the opportunity to connect with local resources, services, and departments, while enjoying a fun family-filled atmosphere.
“We are excited to announce the 2025 Harnett County Community Day,” said Angela Warren, Program Manager for Child Support Services with Harnett County Social Services in a press release. “We have lots of beneficial services and information that will be available to all of our citizens. Please be sure to mark your calendars for our event that just may change your life for the better. Come and see what we have to offer!”
Family activities will include bounces houses, inflatables, and face painting. Parents or guardians will be required to sign waivers on-site for children to participate in these activities.
Food trucks will also be on-site with food and beverages available for purchase.
“Each year we strive to improve the Community Day experience for our residents,” said Desiree Patrick, Community Relations Director in a press release. “This year were excited to offer an on-site shred truck to provide residents with a secure and convenient way to safely dispose of sensitive documents."
Currently, more than 15 internal Harnett County departments and external community partners are confirmed to participate. Board of Elections will also offer REAL IDs. We are accepting a pool of interested external vendors that provide free services/resources to the public. The goal is to have a variety of resources represented. As vendor spots are limited, we encourage vendors to complete an application. Applications will be accepted until July 25, 2025, and unfortunately do not guarantee a spot.
This will be an outdoor and indoor event and will proceed as scheduled rain or shine. However, inclement weather may affect the planned outdoor activities.
Interested vendors can fill out an application here: 2025 Community Day Vendor Interests Form.
Residents are encouraged to register here so we can estimate attendance: 4th Annual Community Day.
