Flow Buick GMC of Fayetteville is proud to team up with the Fayetteville Marksmen hockey team in support of Cumberland County Schools’ mission to inspire a lifelong love of reading among young students.
As part of this literacy initiative, all Cumberland County K–5 students received complimentary reading achievement bookmarks at the end of the school year. Those who complete their bookmarks by Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025, will earn free tickets to the Marksmen’s 2025-2026
season opening night.
The summer reading program will wrap up with a family-friendly celebration at Flow Buick GMC of Fayetteville on Aug. 9. The event will feature games, snacks, back-to-school giveaways and an exciting opportunity for students to meet some of their favorite Marksmen players.
Completed bookmarks can be redeemed for tickets during the event. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to the first 200 students in attendance. After the initial 200 tickets are given out, the Marksmen will offer buy-one-get-one vouchers for future games.
"We believe that literacy is fundamental to a child's success," said Bill Drewery, General Manager of Flow Buick GMC of Fayetteville in a press release. "By partnering with Cumberland County Schools, we aim to inspire young minds, encourage a lifelong love of reading, and provide families with an opportunity to enjoy a thrilling Marksmen hockey game together."
