8 Ball Pool & Jazz Lounge is hosting a special event featuring four local creatives exhibiting their art on Aug. 16 from 6:30 to 9 p.m.. There will also be a mixologist serving up specialty drinks. The evening will also feature jazz music and refreshments.
Two of the featured artists include Leticia Hunter and Ivy Wright.
Hunter is a Fayetteville native who discovered her passion for art in high school and went on to fuel that passion at the North Carolina School of the Arts and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where she earned a bachelor’s degree in art. Her passion for creativity spans a wide array of disciplines including interior design, staging, graphic design, photography, textile and fiber arts, mixed media and fashion.
Wright is a Fayetteville native whose lifelong journey in the arts began at the age of three as a trained dancer. Her passion for creative expression expanded in high school when she discovered a deep love for visual arts. Wright earned dual degrees from Fayetteville State University in December 1995: a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Wright’s work is rooted in her rich cultural heritage and a lifelong commitment to artistic exploration.
