The Foundation of FirstHealth is launching a new “Match-A-Million” campaign to raise funds for FirstFutures, a collaborative effort by FirstHealth of the Carolinas and The Foundation of FirstHealth to recruit and train the health care staff and providers of the future.
Beginning Sept. 2, 2025, through Sept. 2, 2026, donations through the campaign will be matched, up to $1 million.
“The beauty of the matching campaign is that each gift has twice the impact, and it highlights that together we can transform the future of health care in our region,” stated Dana L. Casson, CFRE, president of The Foundation of FirstHealth in a press release. “The generosity of our community has always been the driving force behind our success, and this matching campaign is a chance to see that generosity go even further.”
Launched in 2024, FirstFutures is reimagining how future health care providers explore educational opportunities as they grow, functioning as a career pipeline for students.
Through FirstFutures sponsorship application, students will be selected to receive funding for their education in nursing, allied health or any other trade or program at one of the local community colleges that matches with a FirstHealth employment opportunity.
“FirstFutures is about more than funding education, it’s about creating opportunities, inspiring careers and building the next generation of caregivers,” added Casson. “Together, we can ensure that FirstHealth remains a strong, nationally recognized health system, ready to serve for years to come.”
