After serving as Interim Director for the past year, Teela Wilkerson has officially been promoted to Director of Hoke Area Transit Service (H.A.T.S).
“Her leadership during the interim period has been instrumental in maintaining and improving our transit operations, and we look forward to the continued growth and success of the agency under her direction,” shared the county in a Facebook post.
Additionally, Hoke County is congratulating to Marsha Smith, who is the new Office Supervisor. They are excited to see her bring her experience and dedication to this important role.
Hoke Area Transit Service is a county-operated public transportation system designed and operated to provide door to door transportation to that portion of the population for which transportation or mobility is a problem. Their fleet is comprised of many vehicles, from standard minivans to 28' buses and most are equipped with wheelchair lifts.
