Bounty Farmhouse Kitchen & Tap celebrated its grand opening on Monday, Sept. 22. The restaurant is located at 4150 Sycamore Dairy Road, the former home of Mash House Brewing Company.
Bounty Farmhouse Kitchen & Tap is owned by Chris Beal, a fifth-generation farmer who brings his North Carolina roots and passion for farm-to-table dining to every dish.
“This was the ultimate vision; to be able to create a pathway to work with local farms and my expertise on the restaurant side, to be able to help those two come together,” shared Beal.
Beal also owns Chatham Meat Company, the restaurant’s sister company. Chatham Meat Co. is a classic North Carolina butcher shop that provides all of the local beef.
Guests can enjoy starters such as Cheerwine Meatballs or Piedmont Poutine. The menu also features a variety of salads as well as a mouthwatering burger selection, including the Bee’s Knees with goat cheese crema, candied bacon, arugula and a hot honey drizzle. Entrees include Blueberry Short Rib and Bone Marrow Butter Filet, along with vegetarian options such as Fried Cauliflower Tacos and their Farmers Market Roasted Vegetable Plate.
The list of farms and farmers they work with is long, but a few include New Hope Farm, Thistle Hill Farm and Jeremy and Ashley Webster.
Beal is local to Chatham County, but he’s excited to expand his reach into the Fayetteville area.
“We just love the market. It’s a great opportunity here. I think the Mash House had been here for a long time and served the community well. We felt like it would be an excellent opportunity to bring something fresh and new to this positive location,” added Beal.
The space provides a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating and a full bar. Beal is eager to welcome the Fayetteville community to enjoy made from scratch meals with local ingredients.
“I am probably the most excited about this opening as I've ever been opening a restaurant. The positivity with, number one, the management team, and then the staff that we have on board, the excitement behind our folks who work with Chatham Meat Company to be able to showcase their products, our excitement behind the farmers that we've partnered with, to see them out and supporting us on friends and family [day] last week – it really represents what we do and our vision for the best possible food as far as sustainability,” remarked Beal.
Bounty Farmhouse is open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week. Check out their Facebook page for further details.
