Number of IT job postings in Fayetteville MSA up from last October

The NCTECH Association announced the IT trends in North Carolina for the month of October which show that IT job postings in the Fayetteville MSA have increased 33 percent since October 2020. 

Moreover, the state of North Carolina had 45,020 postings this past October versus the 31,384 postings in October 2020. Fayetteville represented 1,500 of those postings for October 2021. 

For October in particular, the Fayetteville MSA was ranked fifth in its contributions to IT job postings out of the 15 MSAs. 

NCTECH suggests that this is a critical time for businesses to analyze how to retain their IT employees. “With 72% of tech employees considering leaving their jobs over the next year, employers must figure out how to retain tech talent during the current major workforce upheaval, a time when many skilled workers are calling it quits,” the organization said in the report. The report also noted that 91 percent of tech workers want more training from their companies.
