Local residents invited to share comments prior to appointment of new city council member

Fayetteville City Council Members plan to fill a vacant position on the council for a District 3 representative on Dec. 3; prior to the appointment, they invite the local residents to share comments during a public hearing at the Regular City Meeting. 

The person selected as the representative will serve for the remainder of the term through April 2022. 

There are 11 applicants for the seat, and people who wish to speak at the public hearing are asked to keep their comments specific to the eligible applicants. Those interested in speaking must register in advance by calling 910-433-1312, emailing jenniferayre@fayettevillenc.gov, or by registering online here by 5 p.m. on Dec. 13.
