Owners of Local Time Brewery Chris and Kelly Gallagher are excited to welcome guests into their newly opened taproom located at 6 W. Ivey St. in Lillington. The husband and wife team founded Local Time Brewery in 2022 and opened their first brewery in Holly Springs in 2023.

“We were looking for a space to expand our production, and we wanted to be within about an hour of Holly Springs, where we live…we found this place, and it actually had space to do a tap room and more production on the other side. So we were excited to be able to open a second tap room. You know, I think Lillington is a town that's growing and has a downtown area which is sort of similar to where we opened in Holly Springs, so we’re trying to be a part of that downtown community. And hopefully next year, we'll have the brewing online as well, so we can really start to increase capacity,” shared Kelly.

“My husband and I love to travel, and when we travel, a big part of what we always like to do in every city is kind of just visit the local pubs or establishments that are really just sort of where you find activity and things happening,” added Kelly.

Their beers celebrate global flavors, cultures and stories inspired by their travels.

“The name, [Local Time], is kind of inspired by the different locations, time zones. Our brewing list, it's all inspired by different places across the globe. A lot of it's places that  we've traveled to, and it's been something that kind of stuck out to us, or brewing styles, ingredients, things like that, they're influenced by all the places that you see [listed],” remarked Kelly.

Top rated products include Thai Rice Lager, Vienna Lager, West Coast IPA and NZ Hazy IPA. Those four are on tap year round and are also sold in cans. Then they rotate other seasonal drinks as well.

Local Time Lillington is located at 6 W. Ivey St.

The Gallaghers are eager to continue making connections with the Lillington community and have introduced live music and trivia nights to help bring the community together in their new space. They’ve got indoor seating as well as a patio with giant connect four and cornhole to keep guests entertained.

For now, they are still brewing everything out of the Holly Springs location. They hope to have brewing up and running in the Lillington location sometime in the new year.

The brewery’s winter hours are Sundays 12-8 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 4-9 p.m. and Saturdays 12-9 p.m. Come February, they anticipate adjusting their hours for the spring.
