The Green Beret Foundation (GBF), an international nonprofit dedicated to supporting U.S. Army Special Forces soldiers and their families, announced the appointment of Randy Baker as chief development and marketing officer.

GBF exists to support all generations of Green Berets, their families, caregivers and survivors through direct assistance across Casualty Support, Health and Wellness, Transition Services, Family Support and Gold Star and Surviving Family programs. Baker’s appointment reflects the Foundation’s continued investment in leadership as demand for services grows and the organization advances its long-term sustainability and impact.

“Randy’s leadership arrives at a pivotal moment for the Green Beret Foundation,” said Charlie Iacono, president and CEO of GBF, in a press release. “After two years of exponential year-over-year growth, and as we scale our impact and expand funding for mission-critical programs worldwide, our focus remains on strengthening support for the U.S. Army Special Forces Community while positioning the Foundation for sustained, long-term growth and continued market consolidation. Strategic team expansion is essential to meeting this momentum, and Randy brings the experience, vision, and global perspective needed to help guide the organization into its next phase of growth.”

As chief development and marketing officer, Baker will lead the Foundation’s fundraising strategy, donor engagement, partnerships and marketing efforts, supporting both immediate impact and long-term growth across the organization.

“I am honored to serve the Green Beret Foundation during a time of meaningful growth,” said Baker in a press release. “The Foundation has earned tremendous trust within the Special Forces community through its commitment to impact and transparency. I am excited to help lead this organization forward, expand its reach and ensure continued, meaningful support for Green Berets and their families.”

As the needs of the Special Forces community continue to evolve, the expansion of the Foundation’s development and marketing leadership enables GBF to broaden its base of support, deepen partnerships and sustain the programs that have become a lifeline for thousands of families.

The Green Beret Foundation is headquartered in Southern Pines, N.C. Since its inception, the Foundation, has provided support to more than 26,000 Special Forces families and invested over $33 million directly into the community.
