A new resource hub for Fayetteville’s food industry is officially opening its doors. The NC Food Commissary, located at 813 Griffin St., is a shared commercial kitchen and business center designed to support food trucks, caterers, bakers and culinary entrepreneurs at every stage.

A grand opening celebration has been announced for Feb. 19, 2026, at 1 p.m. The event is open to the public, inviting the community to tour the facility, meet the team behind the commissary, and learn how the space is helping fuel local food entrepreneurs across Fayetteville.

“NC Food Commissary is proud to announce the grand opening and ribbon cutting of Fayetteville’s first full-service shared commercial kitchen and food truck service facility on Feb. 19, at 1 p.m.,” shared Co-Owner Chris Thiessen. “We invite you to join us as we celebrate this exciting milestone. Come tour the facility, meet the team and enjoy catering from Caffé Opa.”

The facility features multiple private commercial kitchens, prep spaces, dishwashing stations, cold and dry storage and a small business center, giving members a professional environment to cook, prep, and grow their businesses. While the space is shared, each kitchen is used by only one business at a time, ensuring privacy and efficiency.

As the first facility of its kind in Cumberland County, the NC Food Commissary provides a “home away from home” for food truck operators and chefs who need licensed kitchen access and operational support. Membership packages include services such as trash and gray water disposal, cooking oil recycling, storage, and flexible kitchen access hours. The secured facility operates 24/7 and follows strict sanitation and health department standards.

Memberships are open and more information about membership services, requirements and packages can be found online at  www.ncfoodcommissary.com or by calling (910) 807-7850.  For more information and updates from the NC Food Commissary, follow them on Facebook here
