Cape Fear Valley Health held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new Cape Fear Valley Orthopedic Spine Specialists practice on Monday, April 6, at noon. The new office is located at 4140 Ferncreek Drive in Fayetteville.
“Opening a dedicated Orthopedic Spine Surgery Clinic is an important step for our program,” said Orthopedic Spine Surgeon at Cape Fear Valley Health Valley Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Daniel DeRosa in a press release. “Over the past two years, we have worked to grow spine services in Fayetteville and at Cape Fear Valley Health with the support of our administration and clinic team. This new space will allow us to provide more focused, high-quality spine care while continuing our commitment to strong outcomes and compassionate, personalized treatment. I look forward to continuing to serve our community with the individualized attention every spine patient deserves.”
Cape Fear Valley Orthopedic Spine Specialists will provide specialized care for patients with spine-related conditions and injuries, helping expand access to orthopedic and spine services in the region.
The previous clinic space for Dr. DeRosa and spine patients had become too crowded, with too few exam rooms, while consult volumes increased 25–30% over the past year and a half. When space became available at Cape Fear Orthopedic, it offered a natural, strategically aligned location to expand orthopedic spine services and better accommodate patient demand.
The new space offers more than double the exam room capacity for the spine practice: instead of sharing four rooms at the previous location, Dr. DeRosa and an advanced practice provider now have access to nine patient rooms, allowing them to see more patients simultaneously and relieve prior crowding.
“While this clinic is about convenience and access, more importantly, it’s about quality, we brought together a great team with the right resources, all with a shared goal to take care of patients the right way, the first time, we hope to provide the care needed to get these patients back to their daily lives, whether that’s going back to work, playing golf, picking up their kids or just living day to day pain free,” shared Service Line Director for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, Colby Warren.
