Lumbee Guaranty Bank announces appointment of Mark D. Locklear to Board of Directors

Lumbee Guaranty Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark D. Locklear to its Board of Directors. His appointment was unanimously approved by the Board at its most recent meeting. 

“I am pleased to have Mr. Locklear join our Board of Directors. His understanding of our history and purpose, as well as his knowledge of our community, will allow him to be a valuable addition to our Board”, said Sybil Bullard, Lumbee Guaranty Bank Board chair, in a press release.

Mr. Locklear has practiced law in North Carolina since 1996. From 1996 to 2019, he was with the Law Offices of Locklear, Jacobs, Hunt & Brooks. In 2019, he established his own firm, the Law Offices of Mark D. Locklear, PLLC, in Lumberton.

Deeply committed to his community, he has served for more than 30 years as secretary and a Sunday School teacher at Smyrna Baptist Church and is the legal counsel for Morning Star Ministries.

He is an active supporter of the Robeson County Relay for Life, volunteering his time and contributing to efforts that fund critical cancer research aimed at prevention, detection, treatment and survivorship.

In addition, he sponsors and volunteers with the Tri-Warrior Triathlon Club, an organization dedicated to promoting youth health and physical well-being.
