Cumberland County tourism businesses invited to participate in Tourism Days

In honor of National Travel and Tourism Week, businesses within the tourism industry in Cumberland County are encouraged to register for Tourism Days at either the I-95 North Welcome Center, the I-95 South Welcome Center or both. 

Event Details:

I-95 North Welcome Center

Thursday, May 7 | 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Located just south of the NC/VA border

I-95 at Mile Marker 181, Pleasant Hill, NC 27866

I-95 South Welcome Center

Friday, May 8 | 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Located just north of the NC/SC border

I-95 at Mile Marker 5, Rowland, NC 28383

These Tourism Days at the Welcome Centers are fun, high-impact opportunities to connect with potential visitors and encourage them to stay in Fayetteville. Most participating partners provide small giveaways for travelers. The events also offer a great chance to network with Welcome Center staff and tourism partners from other destinations along I-95.

The more partners who participate, the stronger Fayetteville and Cumberland County’s presence will be. Each participating partner should bring:

“Tourism Days at the NC Commerce Welcome Centers are a time when destinations can greet visitors and tell these valuable travelers about our destination, and why they should spend a night or more in our community,” shared Fayetteville NC Area Convention and Visitors Bureau Director of Marketing Melody Foote. “They are an important touch point to sell the destination to active travelers. It is also an opportunity to network with other I95 destinations and Welcome Center staff. The welcome center not only helps visitors with destination information all year long, they also book a significant number of hotel rooms each year.”
