By Staff Report, posted Apr 10, 2026 on BizFayetteville.com

On April 10, community leaders, local elected officials and residents of Fayetteville and Hope Mills gathered to celebrating the grand opening of the Hive of Hope Mills. Photos by GFBJ.

Located adjacent to Hope Mills Municipal Park, The Hive features seven food truck spaces, each equipped for daily service, as well as a 3,500-square-foot event center and commissary kitchen to support local vendors. The new $1.1 million development is designed to serve as a year-round destination, with plans for markets, movie nights, family programming and community events.

“I look to bring community together at this place to create opportunity…and the most important thing is to make this a safe place,” shared Project Lead Kevin Grant at the ribbon cutting.

The opening reflects the continued growth of Cumberland County’s food truck scene, which has become a defining part of the area’s culinary identity. Concepts like The Hive build on that momentum by creating permanent, centralized spaces where local vendors can operate and connect with the community.

Grand opening weekend will feature a lineup of food trucks, special events and activities for all ages, offering an early look at how the space will function as both a dining destination and community hub.
