Two all-way stops coming to Sampson County

By Staff Report, posted Apr 13, 2026 on BizFayetteville.com

To improve safety, two Sampson County intersections will be converted to all-way stops this week.

On April 16, the N.C. Department of Transportation will install stop signs and pavement markings at the following locations:

• N.C. 242 where it intersects Minnie Hall Road and Zoar Church Road.
• Dunn Road where it intersects Ernest Williams Road.

An all-way stop is a proven, cost-effective measure designed to enhance intersection safety and reduce the risk of serious crashes.

Drivers should exercise caution when traveling through these areas while the safety improvements are underway. This work is weather-dependent and could be rescheduled.
