Douglas Byrd launches new Family Resource Center

Douglas Byrd High School recently celebrated the grand opening of its Community School Family Resource Center, “The Eagles Connection.” The new space is designed to connect students and families with valuable resources, support services and community partnerships.
As part of the Community Schools initiative, the center reflects a child-centered approach focused on collaboration, family engagement and addressing the unique needs of the Douglas Byrd community. The Eagles Connection will help support students and families through access to academic, mental and physical wellness resources aimed at strengthening overall student success.
School leaders, staff, district administrators and community partners gathered to mark the opening and celebrate a continued commitment to supporting the whole child and building stronger connections between schools, families and the community.
