Simone Johnson to join GFBJ as director of events & special projects

Simone Johnson has officially accepted the position of director of events & special projects with the Greater Fayetteville Business Journal.

Johnson previously served as chief operating officer for the Fayetteville Dogwood Festival, where she poured countless hours, passion, creativity and heart into helping move the organization forward.

“[Simone’s] leadership, dedication and belief in this community have left an undeniable mark on our organization, and we know she will continue to do amazing things in this next chapter,” shared Executive Director of the Dogwood Festival Kaylynn Suarez.

Johnson will begin her new role with GFBJ on Friday, May 29. Her responsibilities will include managing and planning events, managing special projects, such as the annual Book on Business, contributing to editorial content and contributing to GFBJ’s digital presence.
