The Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County’s Director of Development Josh Murray has officially graduated from the Greater Fayetteville Chamber’s Leadership Fayetteville program as a member of the Class of 2026. This achievement exemplifies Murray’s ongoing commitment to professional excellence, regional economic development and community impact.

Leadership Fayetteville is a multi-month program that provides experiential learning opportunities for business professionals to gain an intimate understanding of the City and County’s pressing issues and to discover the hidden gems that define our unique community. Through an intensive curriculum that blends panel discussions, site visits, collaborative legacy projects, and exclusive networking with regional decision-makers, the program provides participants with an in-depth appreciation of the challenges and opportunities facing Fayetteville and Cumberland County.

In his role, Murray plays an instrumental role in shaping the organization’s growth strategies and community partnerships. His participation in Leadership Fayetteville has further sharpened these skills, helping him to drive even more impactful development strategies for the organization moving forward.

“Leadership Fayetteville gave me a peek behind the curtain of many different organizations across a variety of sectors,” Murray said in a press release. “Not only did this program help me understand the depth and range of our community more fully, but it also provided me with access and professional connections I would not have gained otherwise.”

“Josh’s graduation from Leadership Fayetteville reflects not only his personal commitment to leadership and service, but also the Arts Council’s broader investment in building strong community relationships and regional partnerships,” said Kennon Jackson, incoming president & CEO of the Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County, in a press release. “Josh brings thoughtfulness, energy, and a genuine passion for this community to his work every day, and we are proud to see him continue to grow as a leader in Fayetteville and Cumberland County.”

The Arts Council congratulates Josh Murray on this significant professional milestone.
