Greater Fayetteville Chamber receives dual-fuel cargo van donation from Piedmont Natural Gas

The Greater Fayetteville Chamber is proud to recognize and thank Piedmont Natural Gas for its generous contribution of a dual-fuel cargo van that will support the Chamber’s growing outreach, event, and member engagement efforts throughout Cumberland County. The “passing of the keys” was held on site at Piedmont Natural Gas’s campus (4740 Corporation Drive) on Wednesday, May 27. 

The van will play an important role in the Chamber’s day-to-day operations, including transporting equipment and materials for ribbon cuttings, business celebrations, networking events, leadership programs  and community functions hosted across the region. As the Chamber continues expanding its programming and services, the addition of the vehicle will help improve efficiency and visibility while supporting the organization’s mission of serving local businesses and the broader community.

The Greater Fayetteville Chamber values its longstanding partnership with Piedmont Natural Gas and looks forward to continuing to work together to strengthen the local business community.

“This generous contribution from Piedmont Natural Gas is another example of what strong community partnership looks like,” said Nat Robertson in a press release. “Our Chamber hosts around 150 events, ribbon cuttings and business functions each year, and this vehicle will help us better serve our members and community. We are deeply grateful for Piedmont Natural Gas and their continued investment in Fayetteville and Cumberland County.”

The Chamber also recognizes Tammy Thurman, the Senior Manager of Community and Government Relations with Piedmont Natural Gas for her longtime dedication and leadership within the organization. Thurman, a former Chamber Board Chair, has been actively involved with the Chamber for more than a decade and has remained a strong advocate for business development, civic engagement and regional partnerships.

“Tammy Thurman has been an incredible friend and leader for the Chamber for many years,” Robertson added. “Her passion for this community and her commitment to supporting local businesses have made a lasting impact. We are thankful not only for this contribution, but for Tammy’s years of service and leadership.”

The Greater Fayetteville Chamber values its longstanding partnership with Piedmont Natural Gas and looks forward to continuing to work together to strengthen the local business community and improve the quality of life throughout the region.
