Sips of Grace NC has quickly become a local favorite for handcrafted lemonade with a heartwarming story behind it. Owned and operated by Nina Turner, the business grew out of both personal loss and deep faith, transforming a simple love for lemonade into a source of joy for the community.

Before launching Sips of Grace, Turner spent years as a caregiver for a patient with Parkinson’s and previously worked six years at M.J. Soffe before the business closed. As she wondered what might come next, a conversation with her sister and her own twist on a familiar saying — “When life gives you lemons, get you some Jesus” — sparked the idea that would become Sips of Grace.

What sets Sips of Grace apart is its focus on inclusivity and creativity. Turner offers diabetic-friendly options, which are appreciated by customers. Customers can also customize their drinks from a wide variety of flavors, with specialty layered creations like her red, white, and blue “firecracker” Fourth of July drink, made with blue raspberry, coconut and strawberry.

Turner currently operates Sips of Grace on Thursdays through Sundays at the Harbor Freight parking lot on the corner of Clinton Road and City Creek Road, and recently expanded to Bloom’s Farmers Market, where she sets up every Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. She also crafts popular candy fruits, such as candy grapes and pineapples, by special order.

Looking ahead, Turner is renovating an RV, which she hopes to have ready by July 1. Painted in pink and yellow and branded with her logo and menu, the mobile setup will allow Sips of Grace to reach even more customers while staying rooted in the faith and resilience that inspired it.
